SUN Bucks Update Families who received SUN Bucks benefits for their eligible school-age child on July 1, 2024 have until October 30 to use the benefits on their EBT or SUN Bucks card(s). These benefits were issued over the summer, automatically with some exceptions, to eligible school-age children who would have received free or reduced priced lunch during the regular school year. These extra benefits will be removed from cards if they are not used by October 30. Additional information about SUN Bucks is available online here: https://dhs.ri.gov/programs-and-services/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-snap/supplemental-nutrition-10

A Change to DHS Call Center Hours Published on Friday, February 19, 2021 The Rhode Island Department of Human Services (DHS) is announcing new Call Center hours Monday through Friday (except holidays) that will start on Monday, February 22, 2021. We have extended the time that we accept incoming calls to enter the system from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This additional time is possible because of a reduced volume of calls, staff adjustments and the Department's commitment to giving the best possible customer experience. While no additional calls will be accepted after 3:00 p.m., our dedicated staff will continue to help customers who had been waiting prior to that time. This helps ensure that our workers can help as many customers each day as possible. The time we open for incoming calls remains 8:30 a.m. If you are seeking assistance with a Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) case, you can also email your inquiry to dhs.ltss@dhs.ri.gov.
